Joy’s Bloom is an animated fantasy short film focused on young audiences and children. The story takes place in a fictional, magical world where a creature called the Flower Artist and their helpers, the Seeds, create new designs for flowers, a crucial element of life in the town of Hope’s Garden.

The story is about frustrations and rejections, things that are part of everyone’s life. Just like the Artist, it’s easy to just look at our flaws and get stuck in a cycle of disappointment. The message is to look for another perspective and perhaps we may as well find beauty.

The Joy’s Bloom Animatic represents just a prototype, an idea of ​​what the final version of the animation would look like for the pilot of Wonder Seed Studio, a fictional animation channel created as part of a college project (BCIT).
