About me
My name is Rafaela Silva and I’m a video editor, motion graphics designer, digital designer and illustrator.
I was born and raised in Brazil, where I graduated in Digital Design at PUCPR, and I currently live in Canada, where I graduated in Video Production and Editing at BCIT. My biggest passion is audiovisual, especially the areas of video editing and motion design. However, I’m also captivated by any form of artistic and creative expression, such as in the fields of design, game development, illustration, photography and writing.
I consider myself an ‘eternal student’, I’m passionate about learning new skills and ways of expressing myself creatively, which has led me to get involved in a wide variety of projects. Organization, adaptability and attention to the details are characteristics that are very present in my work routine.
In my academic journey, I completed a Cultural Exchange in Japan, received the ‘Marcelino Champagnat Award – Academic Merit’ when graduating in Digital Design and received certification and an award for ‘Best Documentary Video’ in the second edition of ‘MOVA – University Festival of Audiovisual Productions’ at UTFPR with my video ‘Dançar a Curitiba – The Rhythm of Hip Hop’ produced for my Final Term Paper project at PUCPR.
In my free time, I like to bake, draw and play video games with my friends. Also, I believe that spending quality time with my family is an essential part of my life.
